Weekly Classes with Individual Coaching
Specific how-tos of weight loss are taught to all participants by a trained health educator. These include easy ways to lower fat and calories in the diet without feeling hungry along with simple strategies to add physical activity and more fruits and vegetables into the daily routine. Participants keep daily records and use their own data to create specific diet goals that they share with their health educator. Through this close “coaching relationship,” participants learn to manage their weight within a structure of personal accountability and follow-up.
Maintenance Phase
After achieving their objective in the weight loss phase, participants attend weekly classes where they continue to receive support while learning additional, simple strategies for successful long-term weight management.
